January 31, 2012 – Milpitas, CA – Quantros, Inc., a leading provider of applications and services to advance safety and quality in healthcare, announced Gerard Livaudais, MD, MPH, has been named chief medical officer and senior vice president for content and product management. In his new role as CMO, Livaudais will help Quantros clients leverage products that successfully harmonize in-depth clinical and technological expertise with the latest regulatory requirements.
“Quantros has been a leader in the healthcare marketplace in terms of using our clinical expertise to drive product development and analytics,” said Livaudais. “I’m excited to continue helping our clients cultivate in-depth, action-oriented knowledge from their data and Quantros analytics.”
In his career, Gerard has overseen the development, testing and production of a diverse portfolio of healthcare applications for point-of-care and administrative environments. He joined Quantros in January 2010 as executive vice president of product management, where he helped lead the company’s expansion into new and existing markets. Prior to joining Quantros, Livaudais was an internist with the Kaiser Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, where he helped lead primary care redesign and panel support services, and oversaw prevention and population care.
With data-driven initiatives such as accountable care organizations (ACOs), value-based purchasing and Meaningful Use poised to disrupt existing healthcare delivery models, Gerard sees a burgeoning opportunity for Quantros to help clients thrive throughout the spectrum of care.
“Technology matures very quickly in healthcare as regulatory requirements constantly change and new standards emerge,” said Livaudais. “By focusing from the start on safety and quality improvement and using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model, Quantros has developed a highly nimble and powerful technology platform. We look forward to providing guidance for a broad range of clients by helping them use data to identify problem areas, design and track interventions, and gauge their impact on the bottom line — all in real time.”
