Quantros Patient Safety Center (QPSC)

Deliver safer care and protect your interests

Increasing legal pressure for disclosure of patient safety events is stifling the ability of healthcare organizations to focus on improving safety. Patient Safety Organizations (PSOs) have been created — as a result of The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005 — to foster an environment conducive to honest disclosure and discussion.

The Quantros Patient Safety Center (QPSC) is a federally listed Patient Safety Organization that affords participating healthcare organizations federal protection for their safety event data and all associated documentation. With QPSC, participating providers can work collaboratively with peer organizations and experts to better understand their safety performance and reduce the frequency of adverse events. QPSC offers you:

  • Intuitive, flexible and powerful tools to manage your event data for designation as a Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP), the determination of PSO eligibility, and for submission to PSO and the Network of Patient Safety Databases (NPSD)
  • The ability to incorporate all related investigation and follow up documentation into your Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES), from our built-in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tool
  • Comprehensive individual facility and system performance reporting capabilities
  • The ability to benchmark your own incident data against the broadest comparative database available
  • An array of patient safety performance improvement opportunities:
    • Powerful social networking-based collaboration with peers from around the nation
    • Advanced data analytics and improvement opportunity identification
    • Education and training for leadership and line staff alike
    • Safety collaborative participation
    • Best practice implementation services
