Senior Software Engineer

The Sr. Software Engineer will work in an agile team, researching, designing, developing, and testing high quality software, and working with the team to develop any necessary documentation and ensure that other team members have an understanding of the system.  The position is responsible for developing software solutions or components in collaboration with software architects, product owners, database developers, and UX designers.

Essential Functions:

  • This position is responsible for modeling and applying software engineering methods and techniques to the design, development, evaluation, integration, qualification and/or support of complex products, tools, or technologies in one or more areas of expertise
  • Will work cooperatively with other software developers, often assuming technical and team leadership roles
  • Work with product owners, and other developers to understand user stories
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document complex software applications
  • Develop thorough understanding of Quantros products and services
  • Monitor and maintain HIPAA privacy and security standards as defined by Quantros.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Eight (8) years total working experience in commercial software development
  • Five (5) years recent experience in .NET and related technologies
  • Hands on experience implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using WCF, ASP.NET MVC 3 and related technologies
  • Experience with Object Oriented Design (OOD), Entity Framework, Javascript, JQuery, HTML, CSS, and other web technology
  • Experience with PL/SQL and T-SQL a plus
  • Experience with SSRS and report writing a plus
  • Experience in Agile Development / Scrum Methodologies
  • Demonstrated development skills in web-based SaaS applications
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills
  • Experience demonstrating the ability to learn new technologies
  • Knowledge of current standards and practices in healthcare clinical information systems is preferred
